New Kids On The Block Reunion!

Apr. 3rd, 2008 | 12:51 am
mood: chipper chipper

HANGIN' TOUGH YEEEEAAHHHH!!!!! Listen up everybody if yuou wanna take a chance, just get on the floor and do the New Kids dance!

Joey McIntyre, Jonathan Knight, Donnie Wahlberg, Jordan Knight, and Danny Wood disbanded New Kids On The Block in 1994, and have since experienced varying degrees of success in film, music, and reality TV. Until this week, they have coyly denied that an NKOTB reunion was definitely in the works.

Although no longer "kids," per se (the youngest member, McIntyre, is now 35), they are expected to make their official New Kids reunion tour announcement this Friday, April 4, on NBC's The Today Show.

Halloween 2007

Nov. 1st, 2007 | 12:50 am
mood: pissed off pissed off

Halloween sucked this year, nothing to write about on that front.

I did hear 'The Beautiful People' and 'Monster Mash' on the radio before the night was over and I was pleasantly shocked to hear Marilyn Manson on the radio, of course it was because it was Halloween, fucking Baltimore radio stations are lame. But I always say it isn't Halloween unless I hear 'Monster Mash' on the radio and I did, so at least there was that. I also went around trick-or-treating earlier in the night with my sister and niece, who was a lovely Renaissance princess, heard some great white trash Baltimore Halloween jolliness and stepped in fucking dog shit, I should have quit right then, but no I tread onward and the night went downhill from there. Anyhow, boos and ghouls here are some pics I managed to take before the night went to shit .

I hope the Purple Pieman and Sour Grapes aren't around anywhere:

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!

Oct. 31st, 2007 | 01:00 am
mood: accomplished accomplished

I carved pumpkins tonight and did two of them. I royally fucked up one, I tried to do a vampire biting the neck of a woman with the pumpkin stencil kit I had, but I am pretty shitty with those things and fucked it up. So, my mom suggested turning it around and just using a kit we have with different facial pieces to stick into the pumpkin, like Mr. Potato Head, but with a pumpkin, not a potato obviously. The first pumpkin I did Snow White turned out lovely and I was giddy when it was done!! So, here are my two pumpkins, Snow White and my monster pumpkin and some of my Halloween themed pictures with greetings added to them.

Witches, ghosts, spooks, and meanies,
They all mean one thing- HALLOWEENIE,
Creepies, crawlies, ghouls, and monsters,
All walk and slither among us,
But one thing they all mean,
besides just Halloween,
is CANDY,
I said CANDY,

New photos and a concert in the near future!

Jun. 22nd, 2007 | 05:11 am
mood: blank blank

I haven't updated on this thing in forever and I don't really have much to update with. I did a shoot with Johnny B a few weeks back and I am going to post the photos here, though most have probably seen the photos on my MySpace. Anyhow, besides the photos, I can't wait for the Marilyn Manson concert at Merriweather Post Pavillion on July 30, 2007!!! Even though they are playing with shitty ass Slayer, that's Ok, I have sat through many a shitty band waiting for Marilyn to play!!

Anyhow here are my photos.

These were done for an online company that sells... you guessed it pasties. They have a lot of unique styled pasties and you can even custom order ones, so if you have a Gypsy Rose Lee fantasy you want to act out or you just want to get dressed up or rather dressed down, you should check them out. Here is the MySpace link to the company - http://www.myspace.com/darkkisses and the link to their online website - http://www.trulyfallen.com/

All of these photos were taken by Johnny B, go check his stuff out!!

The other photos is me channeling Elvira and doing a pin-up style, campy, Halloween themed idea I had.

Back from New Orleans

May. 14th, 2007 | 03:00 am
mood: content content

I had a wonderfully amazing time in New Orleans. Aaron was a sweetheart and treats me too well, as he paid for the WHOLE trip for our 1 year anniversary of being together. I have been to New Orleans before for my 21st birthday and fell in love with the place. There has been a lot of devastation to the New Orleans area because of hurricane Katrina and of course things weren't exactly the same. The French Quarter the tourist area is in pretty great condition and Bourbon street is up and running as rowdy as ever. I did notice several shops had been closed, I am guessing either for good or renovations because of flood damage, etc. The French Market, the outdoor section is nowhere near as big as I remember it being, but they were building onto it and a lot of construction was being done while we were there.

Aaron and I went on 2 haunted New Orleans tours and learned so many interesting things. The city is just filled with history and hauntings, so much personality this city has. Please, if you can help to rebuild New Orleans http://www.renewnola.org/ This city is so worthy of help and rebuilding efforts of every sort, if you have never been there, do yourself a favor and go, it's an amazing city and an amazing time to be had. We also went on the Katrina tour and saw firsthand the devastation left in the wake of hurricane Katrina and why rebuilding New Orleans and the coastline is so important.

Our hotel, the St. Marie was gorgeous and so old looking, it was great. The weather was great while we were there, not quite hot enough for swimming in the hotel's pool, but still very nice and warm. Aaron and I also went to Ripley's Believe It Or Not museum, The New Orleans Botanical Garden (which was gorgeous), the Audubon Aquarium, we went into almost every damn shop in the French Quarter, we ate at some great restaurants and cafes. Our plane trips were great and all around we had an amazing time. I really adore this city and can only hope to visit again very soon and one day I will have a home there! Speaking of homes we saw where Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie live and the other house they have, the bars Angelina frequents ( though they were both in Prague while we were there.) We also saw the most haunted house in New Orleans the LaLaurie home, which if you don't know anything of the history behind this house, go Google it and read the amazing history behind it and how incredibly creepy it is, Nicholas Cage recently purchased this home (the lucky bastard.)

Ok onto pictures of our trip.

EAT ME, DRINK ME (I heard it!)

May. 3rd, 2007 | 02:45 am
mood: excited excited

New album is amazing, seriously...... it sounds like a completely different band, just like all the other previous albums have sounded. The lyrics are some of the most personal lyrics he has written since Man that You Fear and Speed of Pain. You can tell it is very influenced by his pendng divorce and new relationship. It is very guitar oriented and it sounds great, there are a lot of guitar solos and I think that is a first for any Manson album. The guitar solo in Putting Holes in Happiness is awesome, that is my favorite song off the album I must say. All of the songs are great and there are some real gems lyrical wise, my favorites have to be, "Fuck you, fuck you, and fuck you too" off of 'Mutilation is the Sincerest Form of Flattery', "I sell my shadow to those that are standing in it, They think I would bitch about them, Thinking they are the shit, When they can't even step in it" from 'Mutilation is the Sincerest Form of Flattery', and "I should have picked the photograph it lasted longer than you" courtesy of 'Putting Holes in Happiness.'

Run down of the album:
1. If I Was Your Vampire - Very dramatic, melancholy sound, sounds almost theatrical, very seductive in a unhappy ending, not-good-for-you way.
2. Putting Holes in Happiness - My personal favorite on the album, it has a very somber feel to it and a great guitar solo, very heavily guitar driven in general, has a great bluesy feel to it. AMAZING SONG! My dad liked it too.
3. The Red Carpet Grave - A faster paced song, very catchy beat you can't help tapping your toes to, in this song Marilyn warns us of the perils of dating a celebrity (especially when you are one too.)
4. They Said That Hell's Not Hot - Very mournful and has a great sound to it, blues-infused complete with 80's guitar riff solo. Manson warns us that he may not be the best boyfriend/mate material.
5. Just A Car Crash Away - Fantastic song, very somber and cynical, this song is very sad and Marilyn pours his heart out here, confessing to the world he could see his marriage ending. It's hard not to look pouty while listening to this.
6. Heart-Shaped Glasses (When the Heart Guides the Hand) - One of the more "up-beat" songs on the album. Very sexual and enticing, this is where Manson gets inspired by 'Lolita' and writes about and practices a relationship with a much younger girl.
7. Evidence - Highly eroticized tempo and lyric-wise. Guitar in this song resembles the build-up to an orgasm, very dirty feeling.
8. Are You the Rabbit? - How can you not love a song that starts off with snapping? This is what beatniks would sound like if they were on PCP and cocaine. References to 'Alice in Wonderland' and has a very sexy beat. Makes me want to do a strip-tease or a cabaret number.
9. Mutilation is the Most Sincere Form of Flattery - This is reminiscent of old school Manson, very ballsy in a step-right-up-motherfucker-and-get-some way. In this song Manson challenges and quite frankly calls out all copycats and imitators of his style and ways.
10. You & Me & the Devil Makes 3 - Damn this song sounds like a gloomy Adam Ant and has a great sound to it. One of the more "upbeat" songs on the album and is damn catchy. You just want to clap along to it and dance. Also, you can't go wrong when Marilyn says, "If you get in bed someone will fall in love."
11. Eat Me, Drink Me - What more can you ask for in a song when Marilyn whispers so seductively, "Eat me, Drink me?" This is the album closer and makes a fine night-cap to a fabulous album. Has a very haunting melody that stays with you and clings onto you like a scared kitten.

I can't wait till the album comes out and I can actually have the official CD in my hand with photos and such. (yes I still plan on actually BUYING the album even though I already have it, I get all Manson CDs.) I also can not wait till Manson tours with this album!!!!!! So giddy and ready for a new tour and concerts!!!!!!

YEAR ZERO

Apr. 19th, 2007 | 06:12 am
mood: enthralled enthralled

Ok so I listened to Year Zero and let me tell you....... it fucking kicks ass!!! This damn album is so damn great, Avril Lavigne's dumb ass needs to retitle her bullshit CD because this shit is the best damn thing!

Seriously, this is my most favorite CD by NIN since The Downward Spiral, now don't get me wrong, The Fragile and With Teeth were kick ass albums as well, but this one just picks up the pace in the very beginning and keeps it up. There are no real mellow or slower songs with the exception of Another Version of the Truth (which is instrumental) and In This Twilight. The rest of the songs are just hard-hitting, in-your-face commentaries on the state of the world as we know it. March of the Pigs belongs on this album, it definitely fits perfectly. That's what the album is like, a full on assault that fucks you harder and harder until climax and you pass out. This CD sounds like a soundtrack to Fahrenheit 9/11, An Inconvenient Truth, and When the Levees Broke, or perhaps a new movie I'm working on 'The Only Bush I Trust Is My Own!'

Anyhow, my point is I just wanted to express my admiration for Trent Reznor, the musical genius that he is. Also, the damn CD turns from black to white when it heats up in your CD player or with body heat even. How fucking cool is that shit? That shit is some Hypercolor, 1980s t-shirt shit right there!!

So in conclusion, I can't wait for NIN to tour in support of this album, I can only hope they play a small venue like The Electric Factory, like they did for With Teeth and that I can be so lucky as to acquire tickets to the show because seeing them perform this album in a small, intimate venue would be so awesome!

Go out and support NIN and get the damn CD, don't just fucking DL it from Kazaa or Limewire you cheap fucks, actually go to the store and purchase the shit. I got mine first day at Circuit City for fucking $10.49, you can't get shit this day and age for that price, muchless a musical opus such as this, so do yourself a favor and GET IT!
